V. APPLICATION PROCESS A. Submission of Letters of Intent Letters of intent may be e-mailed or mailed, and must be received in the PAHO-FEP Field Office by 5pm on the 3rd March 2006. B. Review Letter of Intent. Letters of Intent will be screened by the PAHO-FEP/CDC/EPA Advisory Committee to determine the project’s relevance to the border region and its potential for successful completion. C. Receive an invitation from PAHO-FEP to submit a full proposal. Successful applicants will be notified by the 17th March 2006 via e-mail or regular mail. Specific areas of interest and focus for amplification of the proposal may be suggested at this point. D. If invited to submit a full proposal, one hardcopy and one electronic copy (floppy disk or CD) of the proposal must be received by 12:00 noon on the 14th April 2006. The electronic version of the proposal must be in Microsoft Word or as an Adobe PDF document. Proposals must be submitted in one single electronic file (Do not send a separate file for the budget, curriculum vitae, contact information, references, etc.). E. Full Proposals will be reviewed by a PAHO/FEP-CDC-EPA Advisory Committee F. Notification of Funding G. Pilot Project begins Letters of intent and full proposals are encouraged to be submitted in English, if possible. However, proposals written in Spanish will be accepted and not penalized. |
